Manawatu Cold Storage

Manawatu Cold Store has been able to increase its sorting area to accommodate the increasing number of export meat containers it processes for NZ beef and lamb producers. After replacing all the aging refrigeration equipment for Rooms 1-5, the new equipment had a much smaller footprint, allowing one plant room to be decommissioned and converted into an ELA (environmental Loading Area). “it’s great to be able to give the guys more space” said GM Brent Cawthray, ” as we are pretty chocker every day now during the season”
